I have worked as a freelance writer and editor since graduating from university, writing for a wide variety of print and web publications and holding numerous freelance editorial roles.

Freelance writing
 
I write features, interviews, reviews and blog posts on a broad range of issues relating to the arts, social affairs and travel. Recent commissions include features for the Independent and the Guardian; travel pieces for Condé Nast Traveller; book and theatre reviews for the Daily Telegraph and the Sunday Times Culture; and work on charitable and community issues for The Big Issue and Se7en Magazine. Responsibilities included: compiling and editing the magazine’s sightseeing and dining listings; proof-reading the entire magazine; commissioning dining reviews; writing and editing features.

Responsibilities included: compiling the magazine’s Diary page; fact-checking and proof-reading copy; assisting the editor and managing her diary; hiring and directing work experience placements; coordinating writers’ travel bookings; dealing with expenses and annual leave; monitoring six email addresses.
